hello staffv02, what is vector X? A mod, map collection, away to make lots of money? I have tried to download it but no luck. Clicking on link to download does not work. Tried right click and "save as", no good. Went to the web site but I only found a link to your textures to download. MitaMAN

it's a way to get rich. I downloaded it and my printer spit out a lambourgini diablo! just kidding. it's a standalone mod, no new maps, but new models, and a great soundtrack. i haven't had trouble with the link, thats kinda weird. theres another link in the mod for quad thread.

Really enjoy this one. The soundtrack is very cool, and overall ambience too. (modified weapons sounds cool too)
Also the skins and models looks cool... a bit "alien" tasting
Just a little suggestion, if you know how-to compile, you could change some texts in the code, for instance so that it says:
"you've been killed by a mad cow" instead of "by ratamahatta" (in the monstertypes array)

theres some pretty good free compliers out there and for that all you have to do is find text strings that look like "you got killed by a orgo" and change them. it doesent really require C knowledge besides knowing how to compile. Good thing to try to do on a free weekend (Dont worry, i havent figured out how to compile yet either.)

the document for compiling is for the microsoft visual studio c++ compiler. i might of tried it with the bloodshed compiler to see if it worked at one stage but i don't think it worked.

It is, as the name implies, for MinGW (http://mingw.org) =)

Yeah, the source can be a bit unfriendly to the newbie though, requires a few fixes to get working in certain configurations. We've successfully compiled it on both Linux and Windows, the latter using Bloodshed's Dev-Cpp.

Register for Quadropolis (http://cube.snieb.com) and put it there. We've got a solid connection, and we're looking for more content for the site - plus it lets you upload a screenshot and show it along side other Cube mods. Only thing is that because of the large size of mods, we have to give you special permission to do so (after you register).

I've put my copy of VectorX available via the donkey network so you can start downloading it then put it on Quadropolis. It's only on one machine now but it's 24/7/365 and next week i'll put it also on another machine at another site to have two sources for downloads.
