Trooper edition patches

by eihrul on 06/07/2009 04:06, 10 messages, last message: 06/25/2009 15:36, 3092 views, last view: 04/30/2024 00:05

Since some people were asking about it, I made some patches against Trooper edition with some of the fixes from SVN.

Linux patch: https://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=102911&filename=patch_2009_06_06_linux.tar.bz2

Windows patch: https://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=102911&filename=patch-2009-06-06_win32_setup.exe

There are fixes for the rocket explosion bug that prevented all people within the radius from getting damaged, fixes for respawning in SP mode, FreeBSD compile fixes, fixes for shader loading (some maps like guacamole were buggy), upped the score wait from 15 seconds to 20 seconds in protect mode, and a few other minor bug fixes.

If you are running a server, then you should probably use the patches here to fix the rocket explosion bug. However, if you are using hopmod, that fix is already in the latest hopmod update.

Unless you're running a server there isn't anything too major to worry about imho.

I'll probably will delay doing a patch until (or if) a major bug surfaces.

Time to release a patch for Mac too baby~rabbit, since there was an issue with /setmaster on big endian machines.

https://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=102911&filename=patch-2009-06-06_macosx.zip

It's not very mac friendly - as you'll have to manually replace the executable - see the README.rtf within the zip

#8: More patches...

by eihrul on 06/20/2009 06:43

Hirato notified me of what turned out to be quite a nasty memory leak in the texture loading, so I made yet more patches to fix this issue...

Linux: http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=102911&filename=patch_2009_06_19_linux.tar.bz2

Windows: http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=102911&filename=patch_2009_06_19_win32_setup.exe
